So prosicated is chilling with oceanic tonight, and I have no plans.
Is it totally lame to hang out at home on the couch and teach myself SQL over a very large beer?
(Anyone else lacking plans for the next few hours in camberville?)

Yay for your icon! Brilliant. BRILLIANT.
heh, yeah. I stole it from someone.
It makes me very happy. ^_^
I cannot recommend combining SQL and beer in a production environment.
Test cases? Useful indeed.
I'm starting to think it's crucial for learning SQL, at least from the jackass who wrote the online class I'm taking...
Syntax errors in a teaching situation are trouble. I've found at least 4 fatal ones already.
Argh, I missed an opportunity to hang out with the Ry! I was looking for some entertainment about 2 hours ago, and then I noticed that my cell phone had broken, and the ensuing mad dash to a) figure out when t-mobile stores closed, until I b) remembered my old cell phone works just fine, and then to c) find my old phone and d) my old power cable, and e) figure out some of my important numbers of the past 2 years from looking at my cell phone bill online, all provided its own entertainment. But now I am back to lacking entertainment again. But I'm also noticing that's 9:43pm, and perhaps I don't want any more entertainment for the evening.
And yes, good icon. =)
ah well. I know more sql than I did a few hours ago.
Also I has some new single-malt. ^_^
By the way, I'm saving a Fat Tire
for you. don't let me forget to give it to you.
I'll supply the beer.

Since you asked, yes.
It's lame, but that's ok. We like you anyway.
Sucks that I see this now; we headed over to the Publick House soon after your post. Would totally have told you to go, as we didn't get seated until 8ish. On our post-bar beer run the liquor store gave us 2 (yes, TWO) Chimay glasses for the two bottles of blue we bought. Also picked up a bottle of Brooklyn Local 1 and a sample 6er of Southern Tier with ale, IPA, and Triple.
Oh, and sadly I have no code to offer to get you to hang out and bring beers. Um, I can sing...? :)
What single-malt did you get?
Re: Since you asked, yes.
So we had a pile of crap in front of our liquor cabinet for a while there, now I can pull out my scotch and report the name.
It is: Ardbeg.
It's ok, it's not amazing.
bummer! had you posted this half an hour earlier, i would have invited you to go out drinking with yagagriswold
and i... alas. hope you got some useful studying in :)
Yeah, I did. *sigh*

Not at all lame. But come to my party and be not lame there, too!
sadly we have long-standing prior plans. :-(
