I'm sitting here reading my hacker quarterly, and I get a call from some woman in Florida who's firewall software just blocked an attack from the SubSeven trojan.
As I recall, a few issues ago there was an article with a full description of SubSeven, including it's weaknesses.
I explained to the woman what a trojan was, and what was going on with her computer. She had recently removed the router and so was starting to see these messages from her firewall software, with stuff which had been blocked by the router until now.
It was neat to have someone who was honestly curious about what was going on with her computer. and actually cared to listen to my rambling explainations.
*suddenly feels a little better about having gone to work today...*
