I wanna build a computer.
if I had the money, I'd do one of these, with one of these for the hard drive, with one of these (1 sq inch, 1gb drive) inserted in there..
completely silent webserver, not even hard drive noise.
music: office chatter
I'm pretty sure that servers should always take up at least one wall, be covered in blinking lights, and require their own air-conditioning system.
Oh, and be able to calculate the meaning of Life, the Universe, and Everything. You know, if given sufficient time to run.
I just got a new case. Came from an Enerex server. It's sleek and black and cube-shaped. Let's hear it for huge cubes! Oh. Borg are dangerous.
but we already know all that, at least according to a dead guy, and being dead means you're always right: 42.
translation: as i live with him i wouldn't want that kind of server in my house.
Well, your first comment qualifies you as one of the coolest people ever.
But you lose some cool points for the second. 0:-)
But I think now it's all evened out so you're where you were befroe (which is still pretty damn cool)
and i'm sorry for having to lose those points, but our apartment is small, i'm a light sleeper and his current computer wakes me up. I'm all for the smart small sleek and QUIET of his new proposed plan rather than your highly appealing but still NOISY/FLASHY plan.
Well, I suppose that's a good excuse. Personally, I can't sleep well WITHOUT hearing my computer.
i had that problem right after I moved in with the girl.
