Installing unreal 2k4, and it's freakin 6 CDs.

I remember being AMAZED that a game could take up one CD. (Myst).
sheesh.
this better have an assload of maps and sick music.
the demo was good...
more news later tonight.

*points and laughs* i got the DVD Special Edition all on 1 dvd with a bonus dvd with unreal editor 3.0 tutorials and other videos :P ah, so that was the difference.
was curious.
they didn't have the SE at the store I hit up. ah, well it came with 2 DVD's(one with the game install on it and the play disc on it as well) 2nd is a bonus video dvd and such, as well as a limited edition Logitech Internet Headset Mic, my name on UT2k4 is XtremeKaos. oh, headset mic. nice. it's cool that the sound comes out in game, I like that. I'm actually tempted to get one. lol.

WTF, any PC capable of running UT04 at acceptable framerates ought to have the capability to read DVDs, why don't they ship it on DVD? there was a limited # of special DVD Edition versions, i managed to pre-order that one to save the hassle. agreed. see the special edition comment above this one.
they're the same price, but one's on DVD.
*shrug*
once installed, it doesn't really matter. |
