my new shiny server is put on hold because the fuckers sent me the wrong heatsink.
And I can't even just use it anyway, as it's not even remotely close to what I ordered. it's an intel heatsink, I ordered an AMD one.
anyway, it's set up, but I have a big honkin heatsink on there for now until I can get them to fedex me one. Should have it thursday if I'm lucky.
Might I suggest killing the hell out of them?
Oh, and I believe that the correct term is "Fucktards".
I had fun yelling about feeding those "fucktards" the spleens of their little sisters... though I don't know why.
Silverado by Noise Control. It's a kickass heatsink/fan combo, 50 grams of pure silver on the heatsink (heat transfer section), AMD *or* Intel-compatible.
Kind of expensive, but well-worth the investment, IMO.
This is to go into a 1U server chassis, it needs a special low-profile heatsink.
I have an old jumbo thing on there right now, can't close the case with it on. heh.
ahhh, well, that explains things. Too bad, really - the Silverado is an excellent cooler, very quiet and efficient. It was reviewed on Tom's Hardware a couple years back.
I have a thermalright sp-97 on my main desktop.
keeps it nice and chilly.
Bastards! I have no idea what it is, but i hope the right one comes soon.
