I brewed a batch of Witbier today (aka. white, or wheat beer), I was afraid that I screwed up the yeast, but it's fermenting!
I hope it comes out all right.
I'm pretty psyched, this is my second batch brewing, and if it actually worked (which it seems like it did, I just saw bubbles) I'm 2 for 2.
Of course I haven't bottled a batch yet... hehe.
Grayhoundliz! did you bottle that batch yet? you should do that soon if you haven't... call me if you need help.
In other news, had a nice conversation with the owners of Badgerhause tonight, missing them lots. Boston's fun and all, but it has a distinct lack of badgers. *sigh*

It's called Soupe au Poitou, but it resembles nothing so closely as Minestrone. There'll be an infusion of a garlic and basil mixture just before I serve it, and there'll be Comté Fort shredded on the side.
mmm... sounds tasty.
Kind of a pesto minestrone then?
brew ain't ready.
The first batch I left in PA when I moved, with Miz. Grayhoundliz.
This second batch should be ready to bottle around next friday.
yeah, I know.
It wasn't ready to bottle yet, and I could hardly move it in the fermenter.
She was my co-brewer, so now we both have our own brew kits. Hopefully she's bottling soon.
She's reserving us some for next time we see them.
brewing your own beer?
you MUST be in New England.
