loaded up the Go program and beat it, 41-36.
That's the first time I managed to beat it.
I guess they were right, it's hard to teach a computer Go well enough to beat even a beginner.
edit: just found the difficulty slider, which was on the second easiest of 6 options.

Never heard of this game called Go before I saw your post. So I went to Yahoo and played. I got spanked likea little kid! Geeze. Actually thanks, now I have something to attempt to conquer on my late nights. LOL, that sucked... I feel like such a loser! Ok, gonna go play agin' ;)

Go takes quite a while to really understand. The most common phrase said to a beginner is:
"Lose your first 100 games as quickly as possible, because you'll only start understanding the game after about that long."
