Apparently Steven Spielberg is remaking War of the Worlds, and cast Tom Cruise as lead.
wonder if it'll be as good as iRobot.
Wish I had heard about those. I like to see chaos up close.
I actually find this horribly depressing.
I went to this big movie palace in Jersey City with, um, you know, those weird people from New York and we saw War of the Worlds there. The movie palace was one of those huge affairs with a fountain the bathroom and they were really excited because in 2004, they were going to get organs back in the little organ-pit off to the side of the screen. Hell, they showed a newsreel and a cartoon before the movie. It was awesome.
And I *hate* Tom Cruise.
yeah, me too.
I can't stand tom cruise.
The hope for it to be as good as iRobot... iRobot sucked. ^_^
Why does Spielberg insist on doing Sci Fi, when apparently he has no talent for it. (Even his successful Sci fi movies were really just melodramas anyway).
Maybe it will be like Battlefield Earth!

There's another group in England that's doing/done a WotW as a period piece. I'd much rather see that than the Spielberg version, which is modernized.
yeah, I heard about that.
good ole slashdot
