here's a man who had it right.
"Creationism is largely the result of Christians who simply misunderstand the Bible, its origins and purpose entirely. A very wise Christian described it this way: 'Cosmogony itself speaks to us of the origins of the universe and its makeup, not in order to provide us with a scientific treatise but in order to state the correct relationship of man with God and with the universe. Sacred Scripture wishes simply to declare that the world was created by God, and in order to teach this truth, it expresses itself in the terms of the cosmology in use at the time of the writer. The sacred book likewise wishes to tell men that the world was not created as the seat of the gods, as was taught by other cosmogonies and cosmologies, but was rather created for the service of man and the glory of God. Any other teaching about the origin and makeup of the universe is alien to the intentions of the Bible, which does not wish to teach how heaven was made but how one goes to heaven.' - Pope John Paul II, Address to the Pontifical Academy of Sciences on 3 October 1981"
never thought I'd agree with a pope on the creationism vs. real science argument...

Many creationists (or what is it now, "intelligent designists"?) don't believe that Catholics are real Christians anyway. It could all be dissmissed as another Papist plot to undermine true old-timey religious values.
Or worse... un-American.
freakin scary fundamentalist extremists.

i am trying to make a lullabye cd for my nephew for xmas but i don't know how to convert mp3 files to music files so he can actually play it as a cd. is there something i have to download? i am using an imac with a lacie burner. thanks a bunch!
no idea, never burned cds on a mac.
Usually your CD burning software will record the mp3s as a standard audio cd if you tell it to record an Audio CD instead of a Data CD.

i thought that too. i was using itunes and it never gave me an option for audio or data. it just started burning the cd. humm..am lost. thanks anyway!
hmm, itunes should default to burning it as audio. pop it in a (non-computer) cd player and see.
