College is coming back to haunt me!
in a good way.
Yesterday out of no where, I get a comment from huginnandmuninn, who happens to have been on my Ultimate team in college. Woah! I remember you! Havergeeks uniting on tha intarwebs to wreak confusion on the already confused...
Today at lunch I stopped into the bagel place, which was packed. So I move on down the block to somewhere else to get me food, and I run into one of my old bandmates from college! Who'da thunk it? He was with another aquaintance of mine from college, and both of them live less than a mile from my apartment, and work within 2 blocks of where I do.
Small world. Big haverbubble.

so spooky. these aren't people I know, are they? I have yet to meet a Ford or Mawrtyr in California from our time, but the Media Producer here is a Ford from years back.
Drummer from da band, don't want to shout his name on a public post though. Starts with an E.

got it. Man, today I got an email out of the blue from Anna (of Anna and Dan Swarthmore fame). Your college stalking is rubbing off on me!
Life is good, moved to Boston and getting settled here. Still with Meg. Learning SQL, PHP, and the banjo.
Haven't played much frisbee of late though. :- /

Cory posts it all the freakin time, and it just rubs salt in the wound of one of the artsy things I wanted to do with my life. The freakin name is even a ripoff of me! *le sigh*

aww. If you made a clock like that, I would buy it. :)
careful, I might hold you to that...

Dude, if you built one of those tall Jules Verne-type clocks (like serial 1281 or 1366 here
), I would totally buy it. I don't have $1000, but I have like $200-300. I need a clock for my apartment anyway. Do you work on commission? ;)
ok, I'm sold. on me. or something.
Pick out a couple more that you like so I can get an idea of the style, I need a project till the warmer months re-emerge around here anyway. (Meg has laid claims to the first one made, but you'll get the second.)
what with a week in maui though... I'll be parts scavenging for a little while I think.
Wonder where I can weld around here. Hmm. that might be a problem.

WHEE!! It's ok, Meg gets to co-opt me (I mean, even if I doth protest she lives with you, so there's not much I can do) ;) It'd be like "Meg, that's Nora's clock. Meg, let it go. Please? Umm. Well. Ok. I can see you're attached to that. I'll make another one." :)
ok. I will look for clocks. I think I'll collect them with comments and make a post of it for you. In the meantime, parts scavenge and look around for a place to weld. ;) I'm sure no one has an unused garage around there, but maybe a basement?
that's just the ticket!
I'll just steal a basement from someone. ^_^

Do you need ventilation to weld (I don't know if acetylene is at all toxic)? Dad always used to do it outside. That'd be the only problem with basements, unless it had windows/vents. Otherwise, sweet!
