I'm seriously debating killing one of my users today.
sorry to hear about t3h l4m3n3ss...
"my computer's frozen"
sir, that's the logon screen.
I set a new one up for someone today, it came with a new keyboard.
First she attempted to log in with the old keyboard. Guess i shouldn't have left it on the desk.
Then she asked how to log in (she had worked there for YEARS, and they had XP before too so the login screen was 100% the same). I told her alt+ctrl+del.
She hit Alt-Del.
"You have to hit control too."
She hits Ctrl+Del.
"You have to hit all of them."
"I don't understand."
I reach around and hit them all.
"I can't do that."
"OK, I just need you to log out now" (we were just creating her profile)
She proceeds to hit alt+ctrl+del and choose "Log Off" from the menu.
Interesting to be able to hit keys in one case but not another.
::headdesk + tears::
On the bright side, I don't have to support any of these people. I just plug in the computers and run some setup stuff on them.
