Hey all you people wanting an MP3 player for cheap...
http://www.woot.com has the iRiver H10 20GB up for only $135 shipped, today only (thurs).
It's an ok player, has some oddness in it's interface, but you simply can't beat it for the price and capacity.
here's a whole forum dedicated to this player, if you want more info.
this has been your 1AM PSA for the day.
why the fuck am I still awake? stupid insomnia...

i was getting all excited about it, then i noticed they're refurbished. which is a route i am unsure i want to take :/
Yeah, guess I should have mentioned that.
Refurbs don't scare me, I've bought refurb electronics and computers for years and never had a problem. But I have plenty of friends who go through electronics wicked fast, and NEED those warranties, so it varies I suppose.
To each his/her/zir own. ^_^

Chuck seems unfazed too :)
i have email in to the one person i know who has one, checking if he's hand any hardware issues with it.
I have one actually, guess I didn't make that clear. Picked one up last time Woot had them listed, which was like 2 months ago.
Haven't had any issues with it at all, not even a random reboot. Then again it's only 2 months old with light use, so grain of salt 'n all.

awesome, thanks :)
one more pester, since i can't find it on their site... what accessories did it come with?
Came with the charger/data transfer cable, a pair of shitty headphones that I threw in the trash without trying (audio-snob. heh.), manual & papers, and I seem to remember some kind of rubber/plastic carrying case... I think that was most of it.
There aren't a lot of aftermarket accessories for it, as it's not an ipod.
like i said, it's not a fantastic MP3 player, but it gets the job done and you're not going to find another 20gb player for anywhere near the price. ^_^

we don't need many aftermarket accessories :) about the only things we're concerned about are making them work in the car so the godawful amount of CDs in there can lessen (easy) and possibly making bike stereos for when i get my handbike. we know people who can make that happen too :)

Looks like a great deal but can you get a warranty on it through Woot? I've bought my last three players at BestBuy simply due to their extended warranty and thankfully I had that when the first player started acting funny. I took it back, plopped down a bit more cash and traded in for a pair of Sony flash based players after having a Creative 40 gig player for just over a year. I liked the Creative player but it was kinda bulky... especially for the gym.
Nope, woot's just a clearing house.
I think it has like a 30day mfg. warranty, and it's refurbished anyway.
damn it... lately I've been commenting without being logged in... I guess I need to get the wifey her own computer again so I won't have this problem.

could you, by chance, send me the drivers? they didn't include a software cd and it's not plug and play happy :/
