Man, I leave the intarwebs alone for a few days, and AMD goes and buys up ATI.
This should make for some fascinating moves in the gaming/enthusiast computer technology sector over the next few months -> year...

I wonder if Intel will buy nVidia to keep pace. Either way things are going to get a bit ore interesting in the coming months. Hopefully this won't be the end of cool stuff from ATI. I used to be a 3dfx fanboy... back before they were bought and killed. This is differnt since AMD isn't an ATI competitor.

Yeah, we all were 3dfx fanboys back in the day. ;-)
AMD and nVidia were the way to go for a performance system as recently as last year, so this move will really be interesting.
Not to mention that the best performance chipsets for AMD processors have been the nForce series for at least 3 years now...
