wow. falcon ridge folk festival hit me a little hard this year...
a new tent, last minute tickets for Meg and I, asst. food and other supplies, taking rainbowspork to dinner as thanks for driving us, a handful of new CDs, etc.
Got some cash from the ATM this morning and saw:
Bank balance: $1.53
Good thing payday's right around the corner.

pssht. I'm sure Meg has enough food stashed away in the freezer to feed an entire country. Which should be enough to last you until Monday, if you ration it. ;)
d'oh. hate when that happens. but... also kinda love it because it means you prolly had a BLAST.
Mike works with a guy that played up there. they're putting on a show in PHL soon.
oddly named Philadelphia Bluegrass Band. they're playing at the Tin Angel the weekend I'm in Lowell, Mass.
one of my favorite music memories is of you and squidia
jamming at the BadgerHaus. Moondance just ain't the same.
hunh, didn't notice them on teh schedule.
yeah, I miss playing with her, that was good times.
maybe i' got it wrong and they were just up there jamming... like everyone else. but they are def. playing a show soon down here.
i sometimes regret that i didn't pursue music. now i'm left with half of one song that i still know by heart and my musical talents are just not what they were. :-( BUT i can still appreciate everybody else!!!!

They didn't play up there. A bunch of the musicians that were headed back south stayed at his house over the weekend. I told her that... she doesn't listen to me.
We are going to go see them play August 18th at the Tin Angel. If you have any Philly friends that like Bluegrass, let them know.http://www.phillybluegrassband.com
btw, it occurred to the other day that my portion of dinner, what with all the beer and the appetizers, was probably grossly disproportionate to y'all's portion of the gas. So if you'd like some money back for that (or a dinner in return), i'd be more than happy too. Because a tank of gas is only $35. and it was just about one tank round trip. And you also drove the whole way back which was a goodly thank you in itself.
