Just discovered that since '02 when I bought cybertrash.net, I've spent $489 on domain names.
Not bad spread out over 8 years (currently most expiring in 2010), but it certainly adds up when you own 14 of 'em (and have owned 5 others which you've let expire).

Anyway, back to work.

Used to keep a server in the closet at work, but new company's not as liberal with their bandwidth. ;-)
Now I have a chunk of a server in a Tier IV datacenter in Dallas TX, via hawkhost.com (who I HIGHLY recommend if you're looking for managed hosting).

I actually meant which registrar, but yeah :)

I have one site hosted externally, but the rest we (well, not really we, since i have little to do with it) do ourselves.

Oh, godaddy. Started using them way back before they were cool. ;-)

Before the courts told us that there may be scantily clad women on the internet shilling bandwidth? The devil, you say. The Devil!

I have a number of domains and no sites at the moment. I was going to get rid of the server I have to save a few bucks but I use email on a couple of the domains so I decided to leave everything as it is. At some point I'll probably get back into it.

I use GoDaddy for domains and SliceHost for my virtual server. I absolutely love their service. I'm paying $20 a month for my slice and $5 a month for their backup service. It's a virtual server so I'm able to install anything and everything that I want... which is also a pain cause you start with a vanilla installation and since I went with Ubuntu I had to install/configure/tweak EVERYTHING myself. Took almost three weeks and a couple of complete reinstalls to get it how I wanted but now it purrs like a kitten.

$12/month for a reseller account, 15gb space and 150gb transfer. Unlimited domains/sql/php/mail/etc. It was a special they were running, they do it often. Lemme know if you're interested, we can probably hook you up with the same deal as a referral.

We're paying $11/month for each of our two domains, but it included setup and registration and some support for when stuff goes wrong, so... not too bad.
