So my friends!
Starting on Saturday it's Nov. 1st. This marks the beginning of the annual wordcount game known as nanowrimo, or National Novel Writing Month. I tried it once a long time ago, and lemme tell you it's hard if you're not really a writer, or have a really good idea.
That said, I too have an art form that I could use a kick in the pants to get going on. Namely photography.
Thus I present to you the second annual NaPhotoMo.
I'll be taking photos and posting one newly taken photo a day for the month of November. If I can I'll keep it up for as long as I can, but I really want to get through November doing it. I'd like to encourage all of you out there who have cameras to join me on this odyssey of visual documentation. To further any communication on said subject I'm also launching a website, mostly just for the heckuvit.
50 photos in the month, since a photo is worth a thousand words! -jadia
Come register, stick in a link to your flickr, your gallery, or wherever you're posting your daily shots. Discuss foibles and amusements. Ask for tips, come up with theme days, etc.
i was actually considering doing this again this year... what the heck :)

photos! you know you want to :)
says over in my jounal that this should be 50 photos in the month, since a photo is worth a thousand words! i like this plan!
(so my guideline for myself is "at least 1/day, and 50/month -- so some days have extra.")
Ooo, sounds good. me likey.
Didn't you have an XT too?
That would be creepy, because if memory serves, it would mean you got the XT and 40D within a week of another LJ friend.
Bonus: Only other LJ friend I have travelled to meet
Nah, I'm replacing an original digital Rebel. ^_^
Like I know the difference. :-p
Oh, just ordered me some Grado SR60s. They seem to be fairly well-received.
Yeah, I was gonna go for the SX100s, but then I decided to splurge.
Thanks for the advice!
Ooooh, I knew there was no way in hell I'd have time to do Nanowrimo, but perhaps I can manage this. I'll give it a shot. (Heh. Pun belatedly intended.)
Also, I'll state for the record right now that I'm going to try to *take* a photo every day, but I know there's no way I'll be able to actually upload one every day (especially if I don't manage to locate my my misplaced usb cable for my camera, or my misplaced SD card reader). So I will probably post in periodic batches.

Hm. Is talent required? Because me and my canon powershot both lack that...
mike and i are collectively in, as you may have gathered from his journal. .
