I'm looking for a good domain registration service and minimal web hosting.
Need some recommendations.
The best I've found thus far is lowesthosting.com, which has free domain registration with:
unlimited e-mail addresses
and only $19 setup fee for $4.95 a month.
I think I'll probably go with that unless someone out there has a service they particularly recommend.
And I have to be able to transfer the domain to a different server without a huge hassle, because I may be bouncing around serving my own stuff now and then for the next few years. Need flexibility!
Gimme some suggestions please!

got one for you
I don't know how good this service is, as I got stuck in a contract for a year with another service and wasn't able to try this one out without having to lose money...but it's worth looking into: http://hostonce.com/hosting_details.html
It's the same as what you listed above, only it has unlimited space, too. Way better than 30 MB :o)

The misses and I bought some webspace to set up a site which sort of fell through.
I am waiting on the domain name to expire since we probably arent going to do it anymore.
I will keep the space though.http://www.liquidweb.com
They have good hosting packages and EXCELLENT tech support. I can vouch for that. The few times Ive had questions their guys get back to me QUICK.
If I wasnt LAZY MAN
© I would probably have a kick ass web site up and going right now. But.....
If you would do me a favor sir and decide to go with them.
and click the bottom most link...I need all the financial releaf I can get.
Muchas and good night.
that's the most pop-up laden page I've ever seen.
I'll check out liquid web, thanks.

GOT DAMN IT!
spensive for a personal web site, cheapest option is 15 a month.
Damn. Already took another LJer up on a similar offer. Too bad, cause yours is nicer.
But you'll get a new customer in precisely one year (when that contract runs out) if you're still in business.
Wish I'd seen this before you got a domain, ReadyHosting (www.readyhosting.com) is the best deal ever. Unlimited bandwidth, 500 mb, unlimited email, support for... stuff. :-}
$99/year. I haven't had any problems in the year that I've been webmastering TWO sites on it.
