11:08 am Car's in the shop, definitely a bad bearing and possibly a bad front-right axle, somewhere in the $3-500 range to repair. *sigh* It'd be nice if it were on the lower end of that range... Please send good car-ma to little Banana Jr. if you're the type to remotely share emotions with inanimate objects! mood: calm

eeergh!
I am sending Banana Jr. good mechanical vibes. A bearing is cheap. But things that can get damaged by a bad bearing aren't. Yikes and good luck. *ouch* - went through something similar with Big Blue in June, to the tune of $1600. sending you & Banana Jr. much good car-ma
*hugs* We'll think good thoughts for Banana Jr. ![[User Picture]](https://l-userpic.livejournal.com/48080630/1344165) | From: | muffyjo |

Well, computers seem to magically repair themselves when I do technical support....maybe I can threaten to do car repairs on her? Do you think she'll believe me enough to self-repair? Is there a large VW Van named Little Banana Sr. out there somewhere? If it's costly, we'll be treating you this evening if you can make it out with us ;) Car-ma! Hee.
Perhaps Banana Jr. is sad at being parted from hir boot panel? It's in our room... hah, indeed! sadly the issue has been around for a bit now, as you know from Saturday. ;-) Oh. I didn't realize it was quite that serious. =( Sending good car-ma your way.
Curious: Is Banana Jr yellow? indeed! '02 protege5 I am amused, intrigued, and probably shouldn't tell you that your car appears to be having all the same problems that my '02 Protege had last year. rut roh scooby... So what else can I look forward to?
(Hi! good to know you're alive! *grin*) Um, if your airbag light comes on it's a $700 repair.... which was the point where I gave up and bought a new car (because it also needed new tires and a 60k service, and I figured new cars come with new tires and don't need 60k services for another 60k.)
(and yes, hi! i am alive! and so are you! it's all so exciting! we should try to witness the liveliness in person some time...) Hmm. Well I put new tires on it when I got it because it had crazy Z-rated shoes that spun in the slightest rain... and i got it at 68k so hopefully it had that maint. already. heh.
Sneaking up on 100k, will probably hit that in a year to a year and a half at the rate I'm racking up miles, and that means new timing belt. whee. *crosses fingers, knocks on wood, etc.* |
